Over a decade ago, I developed a basic dB Explorer© that scans Oracle system tables and creates beautiful (run the pibble attached below) and exhaustive group reports on tables from the selected schemas, shows primary-keys, foreign-keys, relationships, dependencies, etc but the UI did not come out to my satisfaction due to time constraints as I worked on it in my limited leisure time - it was not even an MDI application. Even though the application was quick-n-dirty, the reports were aesthetic and served the purpose of documentation on tables in a schema. And so, I thought why not I take it to the next level.
This made me conceive MATRIX Explorer® - a Database Explorer - that I have been developing for a couple of years on PowerBuilder 10, PFC, ASA 8... MATRIX Explorer is a DBA/Developer/User database-management power-tool that enables us to explore, manipulate, create, alter, manage and administer (DDL/DCL/DML) various RDBMS' in an intuitive and user-friendly GUI supporting direct and concurrent connections using native database interfaces. MATRIX is an alternative and similar to DB-Artisan, SQL-Navigator, Rapid SQL, TOAD, etc. Team-size: 1.
